3 Tips for beautiful hair

Hi my beauties!!!

I am so excited and happy to announce that there's been an awesome response for my blog!! People are sharing it on Facebook, Pinterest and other social media. Yay!! I thank each and every one for this. Let's keep sharing and re-sharing so that every one gets benefitted by it.

To combat the heat, I have applied henna to my hair today as I never ever use hair dye, the reason being I prepare my natural henna. Let me tell you an irony. Today I am gonna post about how to keep your hair smooth, shiny and damage free with the help of a very simple yet powerful flower. Yes it's hibiscus.

Almost every Indian home which has a garden grows hibiscus. I have nearly 6 different types of hibiscus growing in my garden. But the most valuable hibiscus is the red one which is used in hair treatment and hair growth therapies.

Okay so let's get started.

1. Take some dried hibiscus flowers. If you do not have them in your home, you can buy these flowers in a local market. Let the flowers dry completely.

Make them into a smooth paste using a mixer. See to that there are no lumps. Now add some coconut oil to it and boil it for 15 min. Apply this to your scalp and hair on alternate days. You will see that your hair has regained its lost shining nature.

2. Hair gets dried out due to pollution in the air. To keep your hair smooth and shiny, make a smooth paste out of hibiscus leaves. For this purpose, I use violet colored hibiscus leaves as these leaves are very big compared with other ones.

Once you make them into a paste, mix one spoon of honey to it and apply it to your scalp. Wrap a steamed towel around your head after some time and wash it off with a mild shampoo after 20 min. Repeat this regularly to get smooth and silky hair.

3. To control hair fall, take some fresh hibiscus flowers and make them into a paste. Mix finely mashed banana (small chunk), one table spoon curd, one egg and one table spoon of lemon juice to it. Apply this to your scalp and wash it off after 20 min. Repeat this regularly to get rid of hair fall.

So that's it for today ladies. I hope today I taught you some new natural ways to keep your hair smooth and shiny. Share this with your friends and others so that everyone who read this post will be benefitted by it. Meet you in next post. Until then, take care :)

Oil therapy and Massage therapy

Hi my sweethearts :)

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. As for me, I had the most awesome weekend!!! I had a very relaxing weekend with my oil therapy  which made me mentally and physically rejuvenated. So today I am gonna share about this therapy and I also strongly suggest you to try it out to see the results for yourself. So let's get started.

The oil I mentioned all the way long is mustard oil!! I hope many would've thought of either coconut or olive oil, lol!! :) Yes, it is mustard oil. This is not only good for health, but is also good for your skin. It keeps your skin well toned and maintains the glow. It can also be used for hair.

To give yourself a pleasing and rejuvenating massage, boil half a cup of mustard oil on low flame for 5 min. Apply it thoroughly to your body and take bath in lukewarm water after 20 min. This will keep your skin smooth and also the nerves inside your body will get relaxed. This keeps your blood pure by increasing blood circulation in your body.

You can also use this in your face packs. Add half a spoon of mustard oil to three spoons of besan. Mix it into a paste. Add some curd to it. Wash your face and neck with water before you apply this pack. Apply this pack and massage it thoroughly with your finger tips. Massage the paste in circular motions and gently tap on the skin with your palms. Again use your finger tips to pick on your skin. Repeat this process for three times and then wash off with lukewarm water after 15 min. Your skin will feel relaxed and also the cells on your skin and neck will get rejuvenated due to rich and enhanced blood flow. Apply this pack regularly to get rid of black marks. This oil face pack enriches your skin tone by providing a new glow to your skin.

Mix equal amounts of mustard oil and coconut oil in a bowl and massage it in circular motions on your face. Wash it off with a cotton ball dipped in rose water after 20 min. This will remove the dirt from your skin and also make your skin soft and supple.

Apply this oil to your lips and massage it with sugar before you go to bed. You can use a tooth brush to apply this mix on your lips. But see to that you do not scrub it too hardly on your lips. Wipe it off with a soft cloth after some time. This will remove the black and dryness from your lips.

You can also use this for your hair growth. Mix equal amounts of olive, mustard and almond oil in a bowl and heat it on a low flame. Apply this mixture to your hair and use a mild shampoo to wash it off. This keeps your hair roots strong and reduces infections. It will also reduce hair fall problem.

So that's it for today ladies!! Hope this post was very informative to you. Do not forget to share this post as others will also definitely find this useful. Sharing is always fun:) And also don't forget to leave behind your valuable suggestions and comments. See you in next post. Until then, take care :)

Fun in the Sun!!!

Hi my dears!!

Summer is around the corner and I hope everyone are enjoying the weekend by chilling out in their homes. Many women prefer to stay indoors to keep their skin cool and healthy. I say, come out and let's have fun in the Sun!!! Challenge the Sun with these face packs that keep you and your skin ultra cool!!! So why late??? Let's get started:):)

Let's get started with mint leaves. I am pretty sure everyone would have heard about how mint acts as a coolant on skin and scalp. To keep your skin cool, boil some mint leaves mixed with turmeric powder. Make it into a smooth paste and apply this on your face. Wash it off with cold water after 15 min. Mint cools your face, while turmeric removes dirt and bacteria from your face.

Cucumber is a widely used veggie for cooling skin, eyes and body. It is also taken as a juice to reduce the heat in body. Also, it acts as a natural moisturizer. The face pack that I am gonna teach you now not only cools your skin, but also keeps your skin fresh. Take 10 to 15 pieces of a cut Cucumber and mash it into a paste. You can use a mixer or a blender but see to that you do not make it into juice. Mash it into a smooth paste and mix nearly 6 to 7 table spoons of sugar to it. Keep it in the refrigerator till it gets completely cold. Apply the cold mixture to your face and wash it off with cold water once it gets dried. You need to add more sugar to the cucumber paste so that the pack works effectively.

Those with oily skin can use tomato face pack. It removes tan and excess oil from the face. Mix a few drops of honey to three table spoons of tomato juice and apply it to your face. The honey helps in keeping your skin glowing. Wash it off after 20 min to get smooth and fresh skin.

For those with dry skin, oats face pack works the best in keeping the skin fresh and also smooth. It will balance the skin tone by retaining the moisture in your face. Mix cucumber paste and one table spoon of curd to half cup of oats. Apply this to your face and wash it off after with lukewarm water after 30 min.

So that's it for today my lovelies:) I hope I have introduced some new face packs that rejuvenate your skin and keep it cool and fresh. Try these packs as all these are natural packs that do not give any side effects to your skin. Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:):)

DIY suncreens

Hi my beautiful lovelies!!!

I am super excited to introduce my new natural  screen cum blocker. I invented it just yesterday and also experimented it on my face and guess what!! The results are astounding!!!

So today I am gonna share this useful beauty tip with you. You can use this as an anti-tan pack, face mask, skin lightener, acne remover, sun screen etc. One product, multiple solutions!!! Yay:):) So let's get started.

I guess many of you would have figured out the main ingredient of this product that does multiple miracles naturally. If you have not got it right, then lemme make it easier for you. It's the one and only Aloevera!!

Yes, the Aloevera sure cures tan, acne and pimples and also acts as a natural sun blocker. Today I am gonna teach you about how to prepare your own natural sun screen that can be preserved for months.

Cut two to three big chunks of Aloevera. Cut the broad portions so that you can easily procure the gel out of it. There are many types of Aloevera. But I used the plain green Aloevera as it does not give any side effects. I have posted the Aloevera that I have used.

Once you finish cutting the chunks, wash off the top yellowish layer. Now take a spoon and scrap out the gel from the chunks. Your hands might get sticky and messy but it's worth all these as this is completely natural and chemical free. Scrap out the gel to nearly one fourth of the cup that you have taken. I am posting some of the pictures that I took while preparing this so that you can understand more easily. Your scrapped out gel will now be watery, sticky and will also contain some lumps.

Now for the second part of our preparation, you can add turmeric and Fuller's earth to it if you intend to use it as a face pack. Mix all the three in a bowl and refrigerate it for half an hour. By this time, your gel, turmeric and Fuller's earth would have become into a paste. Now your combination gel should be looking like this.

Apply this paste to your face and neck and wash it off with cold water after 15 min. The turmeric will make your face glow instantly. You can also mix besan to the gel if you want to use it as a face pack. But remember, however you use this, you need to refrigerate the gel and other contents so that it becomes into a paste. You can also add a few drops of lemon to the turmeric, gel and Fuller's earth. This will effectively remove acne and tan from your face
Aloevera acts as a natural sun blocker too. To use it as a natural sun screen, just heat the plain gel on a low flame for a couple of minutes so that the impurities will get filtered. You need not heat the gel when you  use turmeric as this is a natural anti bacteria removing agent. This removes the impurities from the gel.

So that's it for today my dears. Let me know how your skin feels after following this beauty tip;) Do share this post and also don't forget to share your experiences with me:) Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:)

Natural remedy for skin and hair problems

Hi my beautiful frnz!!!

Today I spent some quality time in my nursery. Ahhh!! I feel gardening is such a bliss to add peace and tranquility in our lives. I have posted some of my lovely flower collections below so that you can also enjoying looking at them. After all, sharing is fun right?? ;)

As I walked through the roses, I noticed a shiny green tiny thulasi(Basil) plant sprouting from the ground. It was then that a wonderful thought stuck me. Having known about the herbal and medicinal value of thulasi, I decided to write a post on how this can cure pimples, acne and dandruff.

Thulasi is a natural herb that is considered sacred throughout India. Many Indians worship  Thulasi in their homes. There are 3 different types of Thulasi each having it's own importance. But the most widely available and valuable Thulasi is the one that is lush green in color.

Take some Thulasi leaves and boil them in water for 20 min. You will notice a greenish liquid on the top of the leaves. Keep the leaves aside and filter the water. You can now use both the water as well as the boiled leaves. The boiled leaves can be used as a skin toner. Apply the water twice a day to get rid of acne and dirt on your face.

For those suffering with dry skin, mix some egg white to the Basil leaves and make it into a paste. Apply it on your face and wash it off after 15 min. The egh white balances the softness while Basil tightens the pores on your face.

Mix some turmeric to Basil leaves and make it into a smooth paste. Apply it as a face pack to reduce acne and black heads.

To use Basil as a dandruff therapy, apply the boiled Basil leaves water after your shower. Apply it to your scalp and rinse it after 5 min. You can see that your scalp gets cooled instantly. You can also mix this with neem oil and apply to scalp. This combination not only removes dandruff but also enriches your scalp with rich oxygen thus making your hair roots free from dust and dead cells.

So that's it for today my dears!! I hope you are enjoying reading my posts. Please do share them as these are all cost efficient and effective
Also don't forget to leave your valuable comments:)  Meet you in next post
 Until then, take care:)

Fun with potatoes

Hi beauties!!

As soon as I started to write this post, my tummy has started yearning for potatoes; especially for deep fries :):) Pregnancy sure brings weird carvings!!! :) So today, my post is gonna be about potatoes. Potatoes were used as a natural ailment curing ingredient right from the ancient civilization. I am gonna list out some of the useful tips where you can use potato as an anti-tan, underarms lightener and as a scrub. So lets get started :)

1. Scrub:
Take a big sized potato and juice it out. Mix two to three spoons of Fuller's Earth or Besan gram flour to it and apply it on your hands and face .Wash it off with luke warm water after 15 minutes. You can also use it directly. But if you intend to use it directly, you will be needing more potatoes as the juice does not stick to your skin. This can be used as a scrub and also as an anti-tanning face pack. If you want to use this as a scrub, then gently scrub your face and hands in clockwise and anticlockwise motions with a cotton ball dipped in milk. Those having oily skin can dip the cotton ball in water or can just use your palms for scrubbing purpose. See to that you scrub your face and hands gently as besan gram flour or fuller's earth tend to make your skin rough and reddish due to excessive scrubbing.

2.  Removing dark circles:
I have noticed many teenagers and young people suffering from dark circles. Guys suffer more than girls with this problem. Dark circles can be seen under your eyes which result due to improper sleep cycle. I acknowledge the fact that almost each and every one of us are deprived of sleep due to our career and life concerns. But it is also equally important to take care of our health. Anyways, to get rid of dark circles, cut two thin slices of potato and place them on your eyes when you sleep. This works more effectively during the night times. Potato releases a natural chemical which heals dark circles. Follow this regularly for two weeks and you will notice considerable results.

3. Elbow lightener:
Mix a few drops of lemon juice to one cup of potato juice. Dip a cotton ball in it and gently massage it on elbows, knees and under arms. This will lighten the darkness on your elbows, knees and underarms. If your elbows and knees are very dark in color, then use this twice or thrice a day to get effective results. Wash it off after 15 to 20 min. Apply glycerine on your elbows and knees once you wash off this mixture. This will keep your elbows and knees smooth and shiny.

So that's it for today my dears. Have fun. Keep reading my posts and do share them. Also leave your suggestions and comments so that I too can get to learn something new or useful :) Meet you in next post. Until then, take care :)

Beauty & You

Hi my loveliest lovelies!!!

Hope you are enjoying the bright and sunny days. It's almost summer now and we all are equally worried about the tan and pigmentation on our face. To combat this, I have prepared some home made face packs that can be used to treat tan and pigmentation. These face masks can be prepared by everyone in their homes. Also these packs have long lasting effects than the packs that you get at local stores.

1. Honey face pack:

Mix one table spoon of milk powder, lemon juice, honey and half tea spoon of almond oil in a bowl. Apply this face pack to your face and wash it off after 15 min. This face pack removes tan and also retains the glow in your face.

2. Oat meal face pack:

Many people tend to mix oat meal with milk or water. But this does not remove tan. Rather, it makes your skin more harder. The right way to apply an oat meal face pack is to mix it with tomato juice. Tomato juice effectively removes the tan from your face and also keeps your face soft and supple.

3. Milk:

Mix one spoon of besan gram flour, two spoons of lemon juice and make it into a paste. Apply it on black spots and wash it off after 15 min. You can also apply it as a face pack. Whenever I feel that my skin is tanned, I use this face pack once a week and continue ot for a month. This pack gives you instant results. Lemon lightens your skin and reduces dark spots while milk retains moisture.

4. Orange:

And here comes my all time favorite face pack. I just love having orange face packs as it instantly enhances your skin tone, removes tan and uplifts your skin color. This face pack needs some fore hand preparation to make it work perfectly.

Take some orange peels and let it dry  in sun for five days. Make it into a powder and store it into an air tight container. Take three spoons of this powder and mix it with three spoons of milk. Apply this paste to your face and wash it off with luke warm water. This pack keeps your skin glowing and tan free.

So that's it for today. Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:);)

6 Treatments for wrinkles and fine lines

Hi my beauties!!!

Hope you are enjoying reading my posts. In my two previous posts, I was posting about wrinkles, ageing and their effects. In this post, I will be writing about the different types of treatments available for wrinkles and fine lines. So let's begin!!;)

1. Creams:
Opt for creams when you notice wrinkles and fine lines in a very early stage. Use creams which contain coenzyme, Q10 and proteins. However, it is better if you consult a dermatologist before using such creams.

2. Laser:
The different laser treatments for wrinkles and fine lines include fractional CO2, pixel laser, ITL etc. When you undergo some of these laser treatments, you will notice patches on your skin. But you need not worry about as it will wade off within 5 to 6 days. Even though you get laser treatment, you have to take intense care of your skin. Apart from this, there are also treatments which make use of radio frequency and ultra sound. These also aid in reducing fine lines.

3. Botox:
This treatment reduces wrinkles and fine lines that arise due to stress and tension. Purified proteins are injected into your skin in this type of treatment. This will stay effective on your skin till 4 to 6 months. This does not show any side effects on your skin. This not only reduces wrinkles and fine lines on your face, but also works on jaw lines, square jaw and neck.

4. Fillers:
This treatment is best suited for those who have too many wrinkles on their face. The treatment process lasts about 10 to 15 min. You can notice immediate results. Hyaluronic acid is used in this treatment. This acid is naturally present in our skin. When your skin lacks this acid at a particular area, then this acid is injected into that particular area.

5. Mesotherapy:
Stem cells, platelet rich plasma and growth factors are the different available therapies here. This therapy makes use of cells obtained from plants and humans. You can undergo this therapy once in a month.

6. Thread lifts:
Thread lifts are used to cure wrinkles and fine lines around your mouth and neck. If you opt for temporary treatment, you can see results upto 6 months whereas if you opt for permanent treatment, you can see results up to10 years.
OIf this does not work out for you, then you can opt for face lifting through surgery

So based upon your skin and it's condition, you can choose the appropriate treatment for your  skin. But consult a dermatologist before you opt for treatments as they might suggest you the right treatment for your skin.
So that's it for today my sweetums:) With this post, I will be ending this topic and will be posting about a new topic. Keep reading my posts and do share your experiences. Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:)

Myths about Wrinkles & Ageing unlocked- II

Hi my dears!!!

It's been sooo long since I have been writing posts. Pregnancy sure is a tough period combined with joys and pleasures. I am busy with my baby shower celebrations and I am super excited for it ;) :)

Today I am going to continue writing about the previous post. In my previous post, I spoke about ageing and wrinkles. In this post, I am gonna tell you the necessary steps and precautions to take to avoid wrinkles and ageing at a very early stage.

As soon as we notice wrinkles on our face, we tend to combat it with anti ageing creams. But this is where many women do a big mistake. They do not know their skin type and buy products that do not match their skin type. As a result, wrinkles start to develop more and more. This makes them look aged.

Instead, when you notice wrinkles on your face,do not panic. Relax and analyze your skin type. Find out what type of chemicals suit your skin. If you have oily skin, salicylic acid or tetry oil is the best type of chemicals to use. Whenever you buy face washes, face packs, oils, lotions or foams, see to that they contain salicylic acid or tetry oil. Also see to that, the pH content is about 5.5% as it is safe to use in this range.

Also when you use sun screens, see to that it contains a minimum SPF of 30. Sometimes, it is necessary to use SPF 50 when you are in extreme hot locations. Even though compact powders and talcum powders act as sun blockers, they do not ensure 100% protection from the sun. So the best way to protect your skin is to not step out during afternoon.

It is also extremely important to take care of your diet. See to that your diet includes lots of yellow and orange colored veggies and fruits. Include more of papayas, dark chocolates, tomatoes, carrots, dates and black grapes.

So that's it for today my dears!!! In the next continuing post, I shall be posting about the treatments that are suggested for wrinkles and ageing. So keep reading my posts and do leave your suggestions and comments. Meet you in next post:) Until then, take care:):)

Myths about Wrinkles & Ageing Unlocked

Hi my dears!!

Hope you all are doing fine. I was doing some research on ageing and wrinkles and read many books regarding these topics. It was then a thought struck me. How would it be if I shared all the useful information with my sweethearts!!! :) Such a wonderful thought isn't it!! :)

Today I am gonna break down this topic into two to three posts so that you will feel free to go through the myths and facts one by one and can gain more insight.

Myth:
Grey hair is the starting sign of ageing.

Fact:
Although this is partly true, grey hair is not the only sign for ageing. Some people may experience wrinkles as the first sign.

Myth:
Ageing starts to appear at the age of 60.

Fact:
The process of ageing takes place right from the moment we are born.

Myth:
Wrinkles start to appear only on the fore head.

Fact:
There are many forms of wrinkles which form in any direction on the face.

The above are some of the common myths that people take for granted. As said before, ageing does not start all of a sudden. It is a gradual process. When your skin starts ageing, it produces low amounts of collagen and natural oil. Due to this, your skin tends to become dry. Sometimes you may also experience some itching sensation on your skin. This gradually leads to wrinkles.

Wrinkles are of two types- folds and fine lines. When you stretch your forehead or the skin on your face, you will notice folds on your forehead, face, nose and on the edges of your eyes. These are called expression lines. These lines can be seen when you show anger or sadness or other negative expressions and fade off  after a while. But as time passes by, these lines tend to stay on your face in the form of folds and wrinkles.

When you start seeing wrinkles on your face, be careful in choosing your skin products and other cosmetics. In the next post, I shall share about the precautions to be taken for preventing wrinkles and the necessary steps tofollow for curing wrinkles. So do keep reading my posts. Share them with your friends, family and relatives and finally feel free to drop your valuable comments and suggestions. Meet you in next post. Until then take care:)

5 Natural ways to get rid of acne

Hi my dears!!!

Hope you people are enjoying the weekend with your family. Add some beauty to your face and skin and lo!!! You are sure to enjoy much more with your beauty as you can win many hearts with your charm.

Beauty is skin deep. That's what this blog is all about. I strongly emphasize that a woman can gain much more confidence if she uses both her beauty and brains.

Today I am going to share about 5 natural ways to rejuvenate your skin and make your skin pimple and acne free.

Papaya is a fruit that naturally cures all ailments internally and externally. We all are very familiar with this fact. But something that most of us are not familiar is the fact that papaya is used to cure pimples and acne. So let's get down to business:)

1. Take a small chunk of papaya. Remove it's peel and make the fruit into a rough paste. It's enough if you just mash the fruit with your hand till it becomes into a rough pulp. Mix it with some oats powder. Add some milk to it and apply this paste to your face. Gently scrub this paste to your face in circular motions. You can also do this without adding milk if your skin is oily. Scrub your face for 6 to 7 minutes and then wash with luke warm water. Repeat this two times a week to get glowing skin.

2. Mix papaya pulp and sugar and use it to scrub your hands and feet. Scrub your hands and feet for 10 min and wash them with luke warm water. Repeat this thrice a week to get rid of tanning.

3. You can also use papaya directly on your face to get glowing skin. But I suggest to use it with milk as milk tends to retain the moisture in your face. To get rid of acne, mix papaya pulp, turmeric powder and two table spoons of milk in a bowl. Apply it to the acne affected areas on your face. You can also use this as a face pack.

4. To remove black heads, mix papaya pulp, aloevera pulp and two table spoons of turmeric powder. Steam your face or five to ten min before you apply this paste. Apply this paste to your face for ten min and then wash it off with like warm water. Remove the black heads with a black head remover. Removing the black heads now will become easier as aloevera and papaya help to pull out the black heads while turmeric powder avts as anti septic.

5. Mix papaya pulp and Fuller's earth and applyot as a face pack. Wash it off with cold water after 10 min. This face pack will rejuvenate you your skin and hydrate it.

So that's it for today my dears!! Hope you all will find it useful. Keep reading my posts and don't forget to share them with your friends. Please do comment if you have any suggestions or ideas for improvements. Meet you in next post. Until then, take care :)
